Taryn Bennett here!
Christian, Mother, Birth Doula, Photographer, Friend, Wife, Singer, Homeschool Teacher, are some of my many titles... I am a wife to my incredible husband Andrew Bennett (April 2012), who supports me in absolutely everything I do! I’m a momma bear to Noah Alexander (September 2013), Isaac James (April 2016) and Zachary Elijah (June 2018); whom teach me daily more about myself than I ever knew possible. I am a person with many passions; singing, playing piano, baking, journaling, reading, puzzles, kayaking, traveling, look out points/views, baths, photography, supporting woman in birth, all things parenting and my faith. I grew up in Port Coquitlam, BC, survived two brothers (one older and one younger) and have two happily married (35 years strong) parents. My roots are dug deep into the Tri-City area! It truly is home! I became a Christian at the age of 14 through the ministry of Young Life and spent many a summers at Rockridge Canyon as a camper then cabin leader. At 19 I started working as an ABA therapist helping kids with Autism in a one-on-one setting running their social, behavioural and developmental programs within their home, which then landed me a job at a private school (K-8) working as an SEA and resource teacher. After 8 years, I became pregnant and went on maternity leave but never went back. I currently homeschool my three kiddos and work full time as a Birth Doula and Photographer. Life is busy! I'm trying to soak in all this stage in life has for me. Some days are HARD, but I wouldn't have it any other way. |
