Mentorship:
Looking for more experience? Struggling to find work? Or have lots of questions about being a doula in this specific area (Lower Mainland), how to run the business, or need some personal business coaching?
Take on RAISE clients as a team with Taryn, get some births under your belt and some further training from me personally during the process! We’d do prenatals together, but you would be attending the birth, with my text support! Bonus, clients get TWO certified doulas! Training includes but not limited to: - What to have in your doula bag and what to wear - “Meet and greet;” how to book, outline, tips for selling yourself, etc. - Preparation and carry out of prenatals before each client’s prenatal - Debrief, feedback and encouragement after each prenatal and home visit - Communication, education and questions during the duration of client’s contract - Coaching on doulas role, avocation for clients, doulas in the workplace, etc. - Information on procedures, hospital policies and being a doula in the local area - Virtual labour support throughout the duration of labour - Debrief of labour; discovering personal strengths and consider possible hardships experienced to grow and learn for future *If you have clients that you'd like to include RAISE in the process for this same training, please enquire further! Payment: Based on experience, paid through client contract (Yes! You are paid! No one works for free!). |

Partnership
RAISE is on the hunt for Doulas to join the team!
If you are looking for community, working aside like minded women, having the business side covered for you so you can just care for women (the best part of the job!), then this is for you! RAISE offers a partnership program that ranges from offering client referrals and working tandem with clients, independent contract work under RAISE, to official partnership. RAISE offers client referrals or accepts personally attained clients at a low administration cost. Payment: Based on experience and works on a payment structure for number of births and duration of partnership with RAISE. |

Personal Training

Personal training by Taryn is available via Zoom to help further personal growth in doula skills, process or practicality and or running your business.
Hourly training can include topics but not limited to: - Creating a website - Advertising - Setting your price - Booking clients - Local hospital procedures/policies - Doula in the workplace; working with the birth team - Setting up a birth pool - Creating healthy boundaries and avoiding doula burn-out. - On-call life, scheduling and work/life balance $50/HR |

Doula After The Doula Course
RAISE offers a live online training course for certified birth doulas to get ideas, inspiration, resources and education to further their own businesses!
Course Includes: - 5 Live Zoom Classes (recording available, 1-2 hours in length) - Group discussion and encouragement on your own business ideas, triumphs and support needed. - 66 page PowerPoint loaded with information, tips and tricks - Receive helpful documents for your business: prenatal itinerary, intake form, birth plan template for clients, invoice, contract, expense and mileage tracker, earning tracker and more! - Receive links for products, supplies, business tools/websites and more! - Video of how to set up a birth pool - ADD: Mini photoshoot; Update business photos for social media, advertising or website use (ask for pricing) $300 NEXT COURSE: Starting FALL 2025 |
